Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released the final selection result for the 41,424 Home Guard posts under the Home Guards Enrollment-2025 recruitment process. More than 25.32 lakh candidates had applied for the vacancies.
The district-wise merit and selection lists are being made available on the board’s official website, uppbpb.gov.in. Candidates can check their selection status and relevant district-wise lists online.
The recruitment process began with an advertisement issued on November 18, 2025. Candidates subsequently went through a written examination, document verification, physical standard test and physical efficiency test.
The written examination was conducted across 74 districts on April 25, 26 and 27, 2026, in six shifts. Since the examination was held in multiple shifts, candidates’ marks were normalised as per the prescribed procedure. Marks awarded for preferential qualifications submitted with applications were subsequently added.
Based on these scores, 1,07,221 candidates were shortlisted for document verification and the physical standard test. The process was conducted between July 13 and August 7, 2026.
Candidates who cleared these stages appeared for the physical efficiency test held from September 15 to 26. Those qualifying in the efficiency test were considered for final selection.
For the final merit, the board combined the normalised written examination scores with marks awarded for eligible preferential qualifications. District-wise merit lists were then prepared according to the reservation rules applicable in Uttar Pradesh.
The board said selections have been completed for all 41,424 vacancies across 75 districts.
Rules were also followed to determine merit among candidates securing equal marks. According to the prescribed guidelines, preference was given to the older candidate, while in cases where the relevant conditions remained identical, the alphabetical order of the name recorded on the High School certificate was used.
The final result marks the completion of a multi-stage recruitment exercise aimed at filling vacant positions in the Uttar Pradesh Home Guards force. Candidates are advised to check the official UPPRPB website for their district-wise selection list and further instructions.
